Barrington New Build

We were enlisted by our clients, a young family, to design the landscape for their new house while it was under construction. This allowed us to dictate the flow in and out of the house and throughout the landscape. Our design included a boulder wall to soften the elevation change from the porch to the yard, and a gracious granite path and steps surrounded by colorful plantings, all of which combine to provide a welcoming entrance. In the back yard, we designed a grilling deck with stairs that flow onto a granite patio perfect for cozy nights by the fire or dinner parties that can flow out into the yard. We left plenty of lawn for backyard sports and positioned the swing set separate from he entertaining area, but still visible from the house.
