Barrington Colonial

Like many homes that had basic landscaping put in years ago, probably when the house was built, this house was suffocating from overgrown yews stuck up against the house and covering the windows, with no color or change through the seasons. In addition, there was no path to the beautiful front entry. Our design called for a sweeping bluestone path to the front door, expanded beds with layered plantings that allow for seasonal change in flower and foliage, and an island bed with a River Birch that grounds the house and brings the landscape into scale.
