Barrington Mid Century Modern

During the renovation of this mid-century home, we collaborated closely with the architect to extend the home’s clean, contemporary aesthetic into the surrounding landscape. The goal was to create outdoor spaces that felt like a natural continuation of the interior design.

A two-tier bluestone terrace forms the foundation of the garden, creating a pair of simple yet elegant outdoor rooms for dining and relaxation. Winding pathways move through the landscape, guiding visitors through the garden while providing moments to pause and appreciate the homeowner’s collection of outdoor sculpture.

Thoughtful plantings and restrained materials reinforce the modern character of the design, resulting in a landscape that feels calm, cohesive, and seamlessly connected to the architecture.
