Providence Soake

The homeowners of this elegant East Side property wanted a small pool that would complement the home’s established, classically structured landscape. While the backyard offered ample space, access posed a significant challenge: the entire garden was enclosed by brick walls, with only a narrow five-foot opening available for entry.

A compact Soake pool proved to be the ideal solution. Its size allowed it to be craned directly into the yard while also offering the added benefit of year-round use.

The design reinforces the formal symmetry of the existing landscape. A bluestone and brick pool surround echoes the materials already present on the property, while columnar trees anchor and layered plantings help to soften the new hardscape and integrate the pool into the garden. Additionally, updated plantings were added throughout the property, bringing seasonal color and creating pollinator habitat.
