East Side Pool
This project was part of a larger renovation that included updates to the main house and the construction of a new freestanding garage. The placement of the garage required a reconfigured driveway, which in turn created a semi-private area ideally suited for a swimming pool.
The pool was carefully integrated into this newly defined space, taking advantage of its natural enclosure to create a secluded backyard retreat. Lush, layered plantings surround the pool, softening the hardscape and enhancing the sense of privacy. A rain garden at the base of a new retaining wall captures runoff from the garage roof and pool hardscape, keeping stormwater on site and recharging the groundwater.
From the house, the garden now offers beautiful views of the pool and surrounding landscape, transforming what was once a barren lawn into a serene and inviting backyard oasis.
